#344: UK Prog Rock Thrashers, Divided By Design

Featuring catchy melodies, a fierce rhythm section and mind-bending soloing. ‘Irretraceable Steps’ aims to take the established Djent sound and fuse it with a more progressive rock mentality. Inspired by the likes of Plini and Intervals, Divided by Design take singable melodies and apply them to the instrumental guitar world. After returning to the live scene in a post covid world, DBD have been seen playing notable performance such as: a northern UK tour, headline shows in Leeds and Lincolnshire as well as support slot alongside Polymath and Codices. Divided by Design have taken the past year to work on their craft as songwriters to create something fresh, catchy and truly progressive, which can be heard in their latest album “Irretraceable steps” out 18th of March. Aiming to continue the forward-thinking ideas established in their previous releases “The Catalyst (EP)” and “Stages to Osiris” in which ‘Angry Wolf Music’ cited it as a “a complex progressive masterpiece”.
